More Yogyakarta Experiences...

I have spent the last week exploring the nice city of Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Located in Central Java this small city is surrounded by many temple complexes.
Many friendly locals wanna chat with the many travelers who wander past.
The food carts and small restaurants made for many great meals.
This grilled fish with BBQ sauce one of my best here.
I was very impressed with the temples just outside the city.
Highly Recommended!
Last Saturday I stumbled on a music competion with local bands playing Indonesian pop songs.
The kids were really talented and fun to watch.
Here is a sample....enjoy!

  1. Hey...it's great seeing you! Just leaving Santa Rosalia (Baja side) today and will go out to the outer islands for a while then hit the amazing annual festival at San Ignacio. Can't wait. Zada thrives despite the heat and we just replaced our outboard (took weeks to get a new one) so all is good and we can't wait to get back out and get in the water. Love all your pictures...looks like life continues to be good for you and for that we are happy for you! Zada says "hi Peter, send me a picture please of any animals you see, okay, because I'm an animal lover"....xoxoxo N&Z

  3. That BBQ'd fish is blowing my mind. Going to have to try it this weekend. Life in LA has been fun lately since I am spending less time in the populous and more time on the horse ranch. Volunteering at Hope Rescue off Encinal and Mulholland. Plenty of horses, cows, goats, emu, mules, lama, and chickens. Oh--and about ten dogs.
Great pictures Pete--I know these are just a few of many. Looking forward to seeing the rest. Safe travels.
